UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) Annual Conference 2026
Location: SEC Glasgow Date: 13-14 November Booth: 22
We’re back exhibiting at UKONS again this year.
Showcasing the Paxman Neuropathy System
This year we’re showcasing our innovative cryocompression technology, the Paxman Neuropathy System, which we’re excited to announce is now commercially available in the UK.
Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) remains a significant unmet need in cancer care, often permanently affecting patients long after treatment and impacting both quality of life and daily function.
The Paxman Neuropathy System administers controlled cryocompression to the hands and feet during chemotherapy, resulting in upto a 95% relative risk reduction of dose-limiting CIPN incidence (NCI CTCAE Grade 2 and above) when compared to historical untreated controls.
Designed for seamless integration into busy oncology settings, the system is simple to set up, easy to operate, and requires minimal staff intervention.
Join our team on the booth and be the first to explore the Paxman Neuropathy System, hands on.

Discover new research
Discover the latest advances in chemotherapy side effect management through four posters and presentations featuring new data in CIPN and scalp cooling. Attendees can view the posters during the Day 1 lunch session.
Advancing Biological Understanding of Limb Cooling For The Prevention of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy by Hannah Etheridge PhD, Sheffield Hallam University
Scalp Cooling Northern Ireland (NI) Working Group: Working to increase Patient Access and Equity of Service by Northern Ireland Working Group
Chemotherapy-induced alopecia can have a significant impact on people undergoing cancer treatment. This poster outlines the development of the Scalp Cooling Northern Ireland Working Group, a multidisciplinary collaboration established to address regional inequities in access to scalp cooling. The work highlights the group’s approach to advocacy, education, evidence generation and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on supporting informed patient choice and improving access to supportive cancer care across Northern Ireland.
Introducing Scalp Cooling in Northern Ireland: Improving Access, Experience and Support in Cancer Care by Edel Pilling, Rachel Kerr, Sciensus, Northern Ireland
Chemotherapy-induced alopecia can have a significant impact on psychological wellbeing, body image and quality of life for people undergoing cancer treatment. This project explores the introduction of a scalp cooling service in Northern Ireland, examining the role of patient education, advocacy and supportive care in improving access to treatment options. The work aims to support understanding of how scalp cooling services can be implemented within oncology pathways to enhance patient choice and equitable access to care.
Implementing scalp cooling in oncology practice in the United Kingdom: A mixed methods analysis of patient pathways and system level barriers by Shannon Copeland, Queen’s University, Belfast
Visit The Paxman Stand
Visitors to our booth (22) will have the opportunity to book a demonstration of the Paxman Neuropathy System, our cryocompression technology, designed to help manage CIPN.
Designed for seamless integration into busy oncology settings, the Paxman Neuropathy System is simple to set up, easy to operate, and can be safely administered alongside the Paxman Scalp Cooling System, helping clinics support patients across multiple chemotherapy-related side effects.
With more than 25 years of leadership in chemotherapy side effect management, Paxman continues to set the standard in helping prevent chemotherapy-induced alopecia and is now bringing the same commitment to innovation to the management of CIPN.
