THE PAXMAN NEUROPATHY SYSTEM

The Paxman Neuropathy System

A breakthrough innovation for the chemotherapy side effect management space, the Paxman Neuropathy System helps reduce the risk of peripheral neuropathy progression while supporting patients to remain on their prescribed treatment.

The Paxman Neuropathy System consists of four major components designed to effectively reduce and maintain the temperatures for optimal results.

The System

The mobile, compact refrigeration unit responsible for maintaining cool temperatures of the hands and feet.

The Coolant

Uniquely engineered to continually extract heat from both hands and feet via the coolant lines.

The Gloves & Boots

Worn by the patient to ensure skin contact with the connected cooling layer.

The Compression Modules

Provide gentle cyclic pressure to the Gloves & Boots, increasing skin contact while ensuring comfort and tolerability.

Managing chemotherapy-induced neuropathy

Management of nerve damage during chemotherapy has been a major, unmet clinical need – until now. The Paxman Neuropathy System:

Offers the only CIPN management method to combine cooling with compression

Delivers cryocompression to both hands and feet simultaneously

Achieves safe, consistent, and tolerable temperatures

Fits seamlessly into oncology workflows

Is supported by clinical evidence and research

Can be used in conjunction with the Paxman Scalp Cooling System

With a 95% relative reduction of risk in incidence of ≥Grade 2 CIPN*, the Paxman Neuropathy System helps you continue the patient’s chemotherapy treatment cycle without dose modification.**

*NCI CTCAE, versus historical untreated control data.
**Clinical evaluation data available on request.

The SYSTEM

A cryocompression device for busy oncology clinics

Provides targeted cooling and compression of the hands and feet, supporting delivery of a biologically informed cooling range of 20-24°C (68-75°F) at the time of infusion.

Continual cooling capabilities ensure immediate treatment readiness when the patient is connected, following a short 30-minute refrigeration period at the start of each day.

User-friendly controls and clear on-screen guidance to reduce nursing burden.

Automated cryocompression programmes make treatment easy to administer.

Compact, miniaturised, and transportable design allows two systems to be used at once on the accompanying trolley – a Paxman Scalp Cooling System or another Paxman Neuropathy device. Ideal for infusion sites where space is at a premium.

The COOLANT

Designed to achieve low temperatures

A uniquely engineered coolant with ultra-efficient heat transfer properties.

Continuous flow of coolant extracts heat from the hands and feet, maintaining target temperatures for the best results.

THE PAXMAN GLOVES AND BOOTS

Cooling for efficacy. Compression for comfort

The Paxman Gloves and Boots are where cooling meets compression for reliable performance.

Coolant is delivered through innovatively designed cooling bladders, with channels that follow the anatomy and natural contours of the hands and feet, enhancing heat extraction and ensuring a consistent treatment experience.

Cyclic pressure delivered via an air compression pouch produces a therapeutic massaging sensation supporting tolerable delivery of lower temperatures.

Flow indicators offer fast, effortless monitoring of coolant.

Designed for easy fitting and removal, with a stretchy material, various sizes, and Velcro loop adjustments to enhance comfort.

Remove difficult decisions around chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy

The most recent guidelines from ASCO indicate that, in times when patients exhibit significant neuropathy, physicians must evaluate whether treatment delay, dose modification, substitution or cessation of chemotherapy are required.1

This presents the difficult choice: choose a less effective cancer treatment or risk allowing CIPN to progress. Through controlled and reproducible cooling and compression, Paxman is transforming CIPN from an unavoidable consequence of neurotoxic chemotherapy into a manageable side effect.
